Guardian Petrolatum Systems
Guardian Petrolatum Systems are advanced corrosion protection tape systems featuring a synthetic carrier fully impregnated with a highly effective petrolatum-based anti-corrosive compound.
These systems deliver reliable, long-term protection for pipelines, fittings, appurtenances, tank bases, steel structures, and a wide range of other assets. Suitable for aboveground, underground, and underwater applications (underwater protection available with Petrolatum MT Tape only), they perform effectively across diverse and challenging environmental conditions.
Effective Corrosion Protection Performance in Highly Corrosive Environments
- Minimal Surface Preparation (St2 - ISO 8501-1:1988)
- Application to Wet and/or Humid conditions ≥ 85%
- Highly conformable to irregular surface profiles (Valves, Flanges, etc)
- Unlimited Shelf Life
- Long Term Service Life 30+ Years
- Operating/Application Temperature: -10DegC to +75DegC
- Non skilled labor can apply system
- No requirement for specialized equipment
- Manufactured according to AWWA C217-16
- No curing time
- Product remains inert (Non-hardening)
- Protection by encapsulation rather than adherence to surface
- Can be applied to "sweating pipes" (Condensate Pipelines)
- Application under water (MT Tape) in marine applications
- Mechanical Protection with PVC Overwrap or HD-GW (Glasswrap)
